How to copy a file from AWS Non Prod to AWS Prod

Hi,

We have a stable test instance in AWS NP and production runs in AWS prod env.

We are planning to automate the plug in upgrade task. To do that we have to copy a plug in file from AWS np jira instance and paste it to AWS prod jira instance.

Can some body guide me on how to do that.

Also how it will be different when a file movement will happen from AWS prod to Prod.

Steps as per my understanding should be :

Step 1- copy /apps/opt/..../pluging/eazyBi V 5.2.3 from Non prod
Step 2 - paste  /apps/opt/..../pluging/eazyBi V 5.2.3 to Prod 
Step 3 - Restart the nodes 

Now do i need to replace the plug in or how should i proceed

Honestly speaking, I don't think it is a reliable to upgrade an app with a file copy.

I'd rather check the API of UPM, the Universal Plugin Manager. If it supports that, you should rather upload the plugin JAR to UPM and let it handle the rest.
