How to control the list of names appearing under menu on Kanban Board

With team members leaving the team I need to control the top filter and avoid showing the names that are no longer part of the team.

For example if B, EK and IK is no longer in team how do I remove them from the image below?

I tried updating the Board settings > saved filter > update the filter to ensure they are removed

But it does not help

Welcome to the community.

Based on my experience, the avatars shown there will include anybody assigned to an issue currently displayed in the board. As the work assigned to those departed users ages off the board or gets re-assigned, those avatars will disappear.
