How to control the display order of issues in Jira Service Management calendar?

Hello everyone,
I’m using the calendar view in Jira Service Management to visualize issues based on their start and end dates. I have two tickets that overlap on the same day, but I noticed that the ticket with the most recent hour appears above the other one in the calendar.

I would like to understand:

  • What determines the stacking order of overlapping issues in the calendar view?
  • Is there a way to configure the calendar so that issues are displayed in chronological order (earliest start date on top)?
  • Alternatively, can this be controlled via JQL or any calendar settings?

Any advice or best practices would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Anas,

Do you have a time populated for the issues? Or is there just a Start date populated?
