Hi,
I am a newbie for Jira, thus coming here to seek out wisdom from you :D

The situation is that if my customer channels are all in skype, is there anyway that I can trigger an Jira ticket while certain key words being found in a conversation between my customer service host and a client?

Hi @AllenH , welcome to the Community and to Jira!

If you were using Slack or Teams, I would suggest using Halp to monitor chat and open tickets based on criteria you set. However, Halp doesn't connect with Skype.

Nor do Zapier or IFTTT, the two services I would suggest using as no-code solutions to act as glue between two web services. It does look as though Integromat supports Skype however, and although they don't support Jira Cloud outright, you could use Integromat to send an email to Jira that would create an issue. Or for a more fragile solution (because of introducing a second "middle service"), it could fire a webhook to Zapier that then creates a Jira issue.

So I would say it's possible! But, I'd also mention that Halp is very slick, and if you were happening to consider migrating from Skype in the future, I would definite check Halp out.

Cheers,
Daniel
