I need help in organizing tickets in Kanban board where there are two types of tickets. One set to tickets (stories and tasks which needs to done in specific amount of time) and another set of tickets (stories and tasks which are research based and not bound to be completed in specific amount of time). Is there a way to setup Kanban board with both these type of tickets? If so, what is the efficient and effective way? TIA

Yes, you just create the board to include all the issue types you want to see.  Some of them will have due-dates (that's probably the easiest way to say "need to be completed by"), others will not.

I think I may be missing something here - why does the time/not-time field matter to the board?

This helps! I didn't try exploring "Due-date" field. The due-date shows up on the board too. That way, we know the tickets which needs to be done by a certain date/time.
