I have two users under Mend: peleg.adiv@whitesourcesoftware.com , peleg.adiv@mend.io
I need to combine them and have only peleg.adiv@mend.io
Hello @Peleg Adiv
Yep that’s a common one. In Atlassian Cloud you can’t really “merge” two user accounts yourself like a single button click.
What you can do is pick the account you want to keep (peleg.adiv@mend.io), move everything over to it, and then disable the old one.
How I’d handle it:
Ask your Atlassian admin to give peleg.adiv@mend.io the same access as the old account (groups, product access, project roles, Confluence permissions, etc.).
Once you’ve confirmed you can access everything with the @mend.io account, have them deactivate/remove peleg.adiv@whitesourcesoftware.com.
One thing to be aware of:
your historical actions (old comments, change history) usually won’t magically “convert” to the new user, that’s the part you typically can’t merge.
If you’re using SSO/Guard and this is a domain move, your admin may also be able to align it through the identity setup but the safe path is still: grant access to the new one, retire the old one.
Hello @Peleg Adiv
I've looked into this and found that Atlassian does not currently offer an automatic way to merge two separate accounts. However, this is a common situation, especially after a company rebrand, and there is a path forward.
There's old request registered to have this functionality - https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/ID-240
As Shashank mentioned, these three options, could help you.
