Welcome to the Atlassian community.
Can you tell us what you migrated from? Were you using another software product, and moved the data to the Atlassian Jira product?
Are you the administrator of the Jira product, or an end user? Have your contacted the people within your company responsible for the Jira product?
If you are asking about changing a work item/issue to a finished state that would be done by changing the Status. You can see a Status button when you view the work item in a few places. Here are a couple of examples.
