How to change the layout of the Release page/tab

Dear all

I am all new to the Jira world. Hope you can help me out - Google does not seem to provide answers to me.

I would like to add some fields to the Release page/tab - is this possible? If so where do I find information on how to do it. 

I have added a custom field in Issues - and added to all screens. But it is not showing up on the Release page.

There isn’t the ability to configure the display of the Release view. As you likely are aware, you could create a filter using the version and include custom fields in the result. This filter could be leveraged on a dashboard.

Thank you for the answer - I am solving my issue using Epic, Stories instead this gives me that same plus some more structure.
