How to change the Date of creation

ferdinand

Hi there,

I have a question about the creation date in Jira.

We have a huge project, imported as CSV. Now there is a problem with the creation date by some issues.

How can I change the creation date manually (no re-import)?

Thank You!
Ferdinand Ganter

Although it is wrong, as changing the date using SQL is a bad idea, and the answer neglects to mention all the things you need to do as well as the actual change.

The SQL answer is one way, but you *must* take a full backup before doing it, JIRA *must* be offline, and you *must* do a full locking re-index afterwards.

Ideally, you should have got the date right in the import.
