How to change templates for those using Task Management Template

Rob September 27, 2018

Hello, in our team, we created a projects using the Task Management Project Type, the problem we have now is that every time we add new people to our JIRA account, these projects will appear to each of them as default projects.

Please do know that I am aware of the solution mentioned here: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/How-do-I-change-a-project-type/qaq-p/176723 with reference to permissions, but that just doesn't help. The reason is, for those with Task Management project type, its project settings has limited triggers only, see here: http://prntscr.com/kz7pe0 while those with Agile, Scrum, or Kanban, they have these options: http://prntscr.com/kz7plw

Do you have any other way of moving these existing projects to a different project type? Or, the best thing that we could do now is to create new projects following those project types that has permission settings in it?

Hello,

You created an Agility project and it can not be moved to another project type. You should create a new project and move all existing issues in the current project to the new one.
