I have an user who has two emails accounts in my company (an older one and a new one). Both gmail emails has Jira accounts, but the user has been using his older mail to use Jira this last years.
Now, due of some changes in our company, we had to delete old email accounts and only use the new ones, so I have to change the email adresses in the Jira profiles.
So, I tried to cancel one os his Jira accounts and change the email in the other, but I can't because it always says that I can't use the new email adress because it's in use by antoher Jira account (wich I tried to delete and I did, but it says I have 14 days until it is completely desactivated).
Any help?
Hello Juan,
Thank you for getting in touch with Atlassian Community!
These 14 days is what we call a grace period, which you can cancel the deletion.
You can find more details here.
As a workaround, you can cancel the deletion, change the email for this account (using another email of the same domain), so the email you need won't be associated to this Atlassian account anymore and then delete the account again.
Please, give it a try and let us know how it goes.
Regards,
Angélica
Thank you so much. I was pulling my hair out.
