How to block the edition of a work item after transition in a Team Managed Space?

I'm trying to block the ticket edition in a Team Managed Space whenever a ticket transitions to the Done status. I've tried via workflow properties setting jira.issue.editable to false but the work item is still editable. Does this feature work in a Team Managed Space? Is there another possible workaround?

Atlassian has already provided some workaround, which are a little unconventional but also solid.

For my use case I need to have access to the work item. With the presented workaround the work item is hidden.
