How to automatically change Time Tracking when an Original Estimate is changed?

Hi! I am in Jira Software Cloud. When I change an "Original Estimate", remaining time in "Time Tracking" field does not change. Logged time works well, but remaining time is still on the original remaining time. Is there any possibility to adjust it? Thank you:)

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

The Original Estimate is a static value. Once set, it sets the baseline Time Remaining value.

Ideally you should be setting Original Estimate before any time is logged against the issue then only Remaining Time will automatically update.

Once you logged  the time against the issue and after that you change or update the Original Estimate, Remaining Time will not update automatically, you have to explicitly update the Time Remaining to a specific value.

To do so click on the Time Tracking where you Logged and Remaining Time is visible

and it will open the Time Tracking window, where you can edit the Time remaining accordingly.

Hello @Ashish Bijlwan I am also having the same issue but the thing is, we don't have any logged work yet. I have tried updating the original estimate from 6 to 3 but it doesn't update. Is there any specific explanation about this?
