How to assign business user

Need to assign business user as we have a source defect with the data. They will be responsible to work with their business partners to get that fixed.

Welcome to community.

You would need to add the user as someone in the project users and roles. If you do not know who the admins are for your project I would recommend reaching out to your instances Jira admin for assistance to get them granted the right permissions. Once they have permissions you can assign them
