How to add watcher for a single issue

Am I right that there is no way to add watcher for a single issue now ? Do I have option to go beck tp the old UI and add watcher till JIra has this work for new ones.

p.s. Really dont like this way of development when changing UI downgrades User experience (

Have you checked the permission scheme? Do you have "Manage watchers" permission? If so, you should be able to add watchers to a single issue:

Hi Manon, 

I have checked permission scheme, I am Admin and also added the permission for current user , however  don't see the option of added as in your shared screenshot . 

And this the view for Watching
