How to add two attachments field in single project?

kalaimani

created a project, and within that project, have the default attachment field. need to add another one, so I tried adding the "Number of Attachments" custom field, but it is not showing up in my project. Was the Number of Attachments the correct field to add?

Also ,is this possible to add attachment additional one ?

Hello @kalaimani

It is not possible to add a second Attachments "field". The built in Attachments "field" is a collection of all the attachments associated with the issue.

What problem are you trying to solve by adding a second "attachments" field?

Hello @kalaimani

You can add multiple attachments to an issue with the native Attachments feature/field.

Telling us that two attachment fields is a "requirement" doesn't tell us why you need two fields for attachments nor anything about the problem that you are trying to solve by having two fields for attachments.

I am looking for we set one field to be required and another to be optional.

Why?

Are you trying to require the user to provide a specific attachment? How would you know if what they provided was the attachment you required?

There is no native support for creating a custom Attachment type field.

I found an open change request for it, to which you can add your vote and comments:

There are numerous discussions in the community on this topic. Here is a search that will help you find them if you want to review them:

I found an app for Jira Server/Data Center that provides the functionality, but the vendor has not released a version of the app for Cloud.
