How to add more filters to the Next gen project board

Hi, is it possible to add another filter based on a custom field I created?

Creating additional filters to the board of a next-gen project is currently not supported. There is a feature request for this in the backlog for this: JSWCLOUD-17446 

As a matter of fact, it did receive a recent status update from Atlassian.
