How to add fields to roadmap or board?

I've added in custom fields - now, in Next-Gen: How do I add the fields to the top bar in roadmap. I'd like to see epic name, timeline, targeted start/end date as well as actual start/end date.

When it comes to next-gen projects, filters and other customizations are limited. Currently, it's not possible to add filters or custom fields to boards or roadmap.

There are many feature requests suggesting improvements for that:

• More Filter for next-gen Roadmap
• Ability to create quick filters in Next-gen project
• Ability to customise the fields shown on cards in next-gen projects (backlog + board)
• Ability to view the custom fields of Epic as part of Roadmap and to add a progress bar for this field. 
• Filter on custom issue fields
