How to add an email trigger if the story estimate is close to being complete

Is there an easy way to configure Jira (server) to send an email notification if a story estimate (i.e. total budget) is nearing its' completion? We would like to give certain people a heads up if we are nearing a stories budget.

Hi, Randi.

I don't think there is an easy way to configure this out of the box for JIRA Server. Some of the possible options that I can think of now are:

1. Email This Issue
2. ScriptRunner for JIRA
3. JIRA Enterprise Mail Handler

I recommend you to reach out to their support team to verify if such notification is possible to be triggered since it relates to the event of the story points field hitting a certain number before the email is sent out.
