How to add a dashboard to an existing Jira project?

My Manager has created a project in Jira for me, how do I add a Agile Jira board to this project?

You need to be a Jira Software user to do this, but go to the boards list on the left hand panel in the project and click on the boards list.  One of the options is to create a new board.

If you do not have that option, then you either do not have the right permissions, or you are in a team-managed project, which only have one board.  If it is a TMP, then you can still do it - run and save a filter for "project = my TMP order by rank", then go to a company-managed project and create a new board there (you can choose to create a "personal" board, one that does not have any ties to a project)
