How to add JIRA stories to Kanban board?

When I go the Kanban board in JIRA software, I don't see an option to add the existing JIRA stories. What could be the reason?

Hello @Krishnamurthy KA 

Welcome to the community.

Issues are shown on a board based on the Filter that the board uses. You cannot simply tell a board to start displaying another specific issue that already exists. You have to adjust the filter for the board so that it will include the issues you want.

You will need to examine the boards filter under board setings.
