As we all work daily in Jira in Agile projects, it is very very essential for management teams Product Owners and Scrum Masters to have the Jira Backlogs in Excel for reporting and filtering purposes.
The "Jira Backlog" page is not at all useful for us to save or export the Backlogs view into simple Excel file. This is a huge concern and a very basic functionality. This feature was available in Jira sometime back in earlier versions and now its not showing up. Why Atlassian Removed such a basic common "Menu" option in Backlogs page which is "Export Excel".
Kindly provide the feature to Save the Jira Backlogs in Excel to analyze and filter backlogs.

You can always recreate and export your backlog in the issue navigator (run a search for "your board filter and status not in (any status in the last column on the board"). Make sure you add the sprint field to the display so that you can see issues already allocated into current or future sprints.
Of course, as soon as you do the export, the data in it is obsolete, and you can't use Excel to rank or plan, only analysis
Thanks Nic for your response.
Yep, I've tried this option using "Jira board - Issue Navigator" and adding JQL as well as using manual filter query. However, the Backlogs count and this Issue Navigator filters are not matching and giving all results from "Backlogs" view.
Hope, Atlassian bring this "Export Excel" menu option which was pretty much there earlier in Jira right after the "Print Card" menu.

Can you tell the difference between an issue that does appear in either the navigator or backlog or active sprint, and one that does not?

@sankar.vijaya We indeed noticed and received requests to make Excel export options available on different Jira screens for simply convenience reasons.
For your information, Better Excel Exporter options are available on screens like the Backlog and the active sprint board. If you happen to be on Server or Data Center, export options are there even on the Jira Service Management queue or Tempo Timesheet.

This is the same in video format >>
Hope it helps. Please note that I'm part of the team developing and supporting Better Excel Exporter.
