I created the single link to backlog and now that we have cleaned up I need it visible in the individual boards again.  Just not connecting the dots here

Hi @Penny Beene ,

The board and backlog are always on separate pages. Do you have screen shots to describe what you are trying to do? Also, it would help to know which platform you are running your Jira on whether you are running on-prem or on the cloud. The interface can be slightly different. Usually, a backlog is already there with the boards if you are using a scrum board. If you are using a kanban board, you'll need to enable it in the board settings and map a status to it.

Hello @Penny Beene

Terminology correction:

In a board the vertical columns represent the Statuses that can be set on the items shown on the board.

Swimlane refers to a horizontal grouping of issues across the columns. There is a "title" for each swimlane depending on the setting you have selected for Swimlanes/Group. There are a variety of swimlane options, for example:

  • "Epic": each Epic becomes a swimlane and the horizontal grouping shows the items that are children of the Epic

Hi Penny,

Scrum boards have the Backlog built into them. You can't change that. The Backlog will show work items in the first status of your workflow. What are you wanting to see right now, and what is different about what you have?
