How does Jira connect to SmartSheet?

If I create a project in Jira would it add the data in SmartSheet?  would I need to re enter all the information? 

I have a project plan in SmartSheet which I gave the same name as the Project In Jira.  I want to view the updates I enter in Jira on SmartSheet project plan.

Jira does not natively integrate with SmartSheet. You will need to add integration features to make that happen.
