How does Jira cloud and Jira server licence work?

Hi,

We have installed 'JIRA server' on our server, while restoring cloud backup we entered cloud licence to restore. Restoration completed and it took licence of cloud server. What does this mean, is my licence transferred ? Do we need to buy?

You need a server licence to run JIRA Server.

Your Cloud licence was not "entered", as you don't get to see it on the Cloud systems.  If it's transferred, it will expire and you'll need a server licence.
