How do you trigger the system to display the screen associated with the 'Edit Issue' Operation

Hi Folks,

I have created a screen scheme with different screens for the

Default, Create Issue, View Issue, Edit Issue

Issue Operations.

The Create Issue Fires & Loads the correct screen on creation (as expected)

The view Issue Fires and loads the correct screen (as expected)

Question really is:

Does the Edit Issue (Issue Operation) work - If so, what user event will trigger it to display.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi leo_begen@slc.co.uk

If you are using Jira Cloud, there will be no edit screen as documented in this article

Next gen projects do not have a formal edit button like previous iterations of Jira.  Instead these issues should be editable just by clicking on the issue fields directly in-line, (provided that user has permissions to edit the issues, see #2).

Hi Adrian,

thanks for that - very helpful.

I'll review / update the view screen to do what I need.

The View Screen renders custom fields with a context that sets font size & colour etc (and is editable) but when I apply the same field to the Create screen it show the raw data (not the format).

Is there a way to make the Create screen render in the same manners as the View screen ?

Kind Regards
