How do you set a rule to stop showing Iniatives in a board once it is beyond a set swimlane?

Looking to show Iniatives on a Kanban board until it's beyond the planning column. At that point, epics within the initiative would have been created and those would then show on the Kanban.

We do have a rule set to only display issues with P2 or P1 priorities.

Thank you for any help you can offer!

@Amanda Barber Try adding something like this:

issuetype = Initiative & Status in (status1,status2,status3)

to your JQL for the Board. This will drop Initiatives off as they are no longer in one of the specified statuses.
