How do you import cards/issues/etc from GitHub into Jira server (datacenter) version?

I am using GitHub currently to run my agile projects.  I need to move from GitHub to Jira and I need to ensure that all my information on stories/cards, etc can be migrated to Jira.  Any information would be appreciated.

Hi borgel,

I would recommend checking out our documentation on Importing data from Github - Atlassian Documentation.  It explains the steps you can take within Jira in order to import your Github data.

I would recommend testing this out in a staging server first before doing it in a production instance, just to test this out first.
