Is there any way to have emails go to a team or specific email if a automation fails? It appears that it can only go to the owner. This is problematic, as we have rules that were created by users who are no long with the org. Seems like you should be able to specify that failures go to an admin as well.
That is not possible yet, and here is the suggestion to add the feature: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/AUTO-109
Some workarounds mentioned are not super helpful, as they would require large-scale changing of owners to capture / forward the notifications.
Another suggestion which may eventually help is adding REST API endpoints and events for the audit log, allowing listeners and proactive monitoring: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/AUTO-51
Kind regards,
Bill
@Bill Sheboy is right.
But you can also set your own governance, for import rules that are essential to projects and or the system, I use a single user.
Als I do a regular check each qurater to go over automation rule, if they are still relevant or offer value or if the users create the rule are out of service, then change the owner.
I think this is a job that fits within the realm of an administrator.
