How do we pull a sprintwise data of all testcases present, ordered by Epic?

I am currently not able to pull a data of how many testcases per epic are scheduled in a sprint. The feature like ParentEpic() is not available in the JIRA version in my organisation.

The testcase is a subissuetype. The hierarchy is Epic -> Story ->Subtasks, Testcase.

Sub-tasks do not matter to Epics - they are part of a story that may be in an Epic.

There is a weakness in Jira in that sub-tasks do not inherit something that enables easy reporting on them without having to go through their parent story.

All the "fixes" I know of rely on automation or scripting of some sort.
