it does not help me use jira
it wastes my time
it hallucinates incorrect information
i do not want it as part of my jira usage, how do i remove it or turn it off.
read this next part carefully: i do not care why you think its good or useful. i want it gone. dont waste my time with replies that do not help me remove it.
Hey @Adam Parker
AI functionality is broken into two areas:
These features can be disabled via the Admin Hub at admin.atlassian.com. Here, you'll want to navigate to the AI Settings area. Atlassian is changing around the UI, so it may be under Settings, or under Apps.
To disable Atlassian Intelligence, find the AI-enabled apps page, and remove the apps you do not want Atlassian Intelligence to appear for. This will be specific for each app, such as JSM and Jira individually.
At the moment, it doesn't appear Atlassian has a control to disable Rovo itself. These features are baked into the Platform Experiences, so you will simply have to avoid using them.
EDIT: I believe with disabling the Atlassian Intelligence features and removing AI features from all your apps, Rovo will be disabled as well. I haven't tested this, however, so this may not be 100% accurate.
Rovo features include
Hope this helps!
Robert
Here is more information from Atlassian regarding disabling their AI functionality:

We are not admins so this does not work.
We cannot disable AI from any Atlassian products.
GitHub entreprise now allows everyone to hide all those cluttering Copilot AI buttons, thanks to a new option in the user settings.
Atlassian must add a user setting to disable all AI crap.

Hi! Another heavy user of Jira here. Yes, Rovo is annoying as every other "AI" "assistant", so we need the functionality to disable in the users settings. The times I clicked the popup when selecting text in a hurry are beyond acceptable.
Thanks in advance!

+1!
Our org uses Jira and Confluence for our software development.
Came here because Confluence is now inserting irritating and distracting prompts on every new empty line telling me how to use Rovo. Makes it hard to read what I've just written when there's this irrelevant line of text right in the middle!
In Jira, I've accidentally used Rovo features, and it's just terrible. It picks out some term from our Jira issue that's very specific to our software, but it's completely clueless about that, and essentially provides a dumb answer as though it tried to look that up on Google. It apparently has no awareness of our code base or the content of our issues, perhaps with the exception of the current issue, so it's just a distraction.
And those godawful, distracting little colored links embedded in our text, those have got to go too!
The AI features are terribly distracting for people with neurological differences. We should all get together to develop TamperMonkey user scripts to hide all those distractions.

In the meantime, I have made a user stylesheet for hiding Confluence cloud and Jira cloud AI crap:

I'm still working on it, but I've had some success with uBlock Origin custom filters. Remains to be seen how long it takes for them to break these....
! Remove "Type space to ask Rovo" prompt on empty lines when editing Confluence pages
*.atlassian.net##[data-testid="app-navigation-ai-mate"]
! Remove two different "Ask Rovo" buttons (both on the same page, this is just spam ffs!)
*.atlassian.net##[data-testid="platform-ai-button"]:upward(5)
*.atlassian.net##[data-testid="editor-toolbar__ask-rovo"]:upward(3)

Excellent job, much nicer than the uBO filters I posted on this thread a few weeks ago.
