How do i split my epics into features?

Hi

We have defined all epics and have a variety of user stories off them but to help iterate i have further broken down the epic to features. I'm now keen to put this middle layer into Jira so i can track based on features rather that the high level epic. I will link the user stories to the features but need to know how to incorporate features into the hierarchy?

The only way I know of to define a new hierarchy is via the Portfolio for Jira addon.

You can define new issue types at different levels of the hierarchy.  However, Epic cannot be 'moved', as it's pretty in-built to Jira.  So Stories will have to sit under Epics. However you could define a new level above Epic, and use Epics as your Features.
