How do i show all issues in the Bord

D S October 20, 2022 edited

Currently i am testing with the Jira planning tool to see if this could help our team.

I am running in to some things I do not understand.

I made a list of Issues and I have put these is a roadmap.

Now I can only find 2 of all created issues in the Bord. (unit-2 and unit-4) all other units do not show in the Bord.

See attached immages

Hello @D S

Can you please do the following?

Click on Project Settings (Projectinstellingen).

Click on Issues Types.

Provide a screen image of what you see. For example.

I notice that you are using a Team Managed project Kanban board, and the Group By option is set to None (Geen). In that case, the board will show you only the issues in the middle group for your project (where my image shows New Issue Type and Task). Subtasks and Epics will not be displayed as cards on the board when the Group By is set to None.

Hi,

Finally i solved the problem by copying the whole project to a new project..

attached the asked image.

@D S

I noticed in the images in your original post that your Team Managed Kanban board  has the Backlog option enabled.

If you look at the Backlog screen you'll notice that there are two sections to the issue list. The lower section is labeled Backlog and the upper section is labeled Board. Only the issues in the upper section of the list, under Board, will display in the board view. You have to move the issues from the Backlog section to the Board section for the issues to then display in the board view.

When you have the Backlog option enabled on the Team Managed Kanban board, new issue that are created are added to the Backlog section of the list. When you are creating issues within the Roadmap, they are being added to the Backlog section of the list on the Backlog screen. You have to drag them from that section to the Board section to make them display on the board.

The only way to get newly created issues to display on the board immediately after being created is to use the Create Issue button that appears in the first column of the board view.

Hi, i keep having troubles with issues not showing up on the Bord.

When i create an issue from Roadmap or from Issues list it does not show up on the bord.

If i crate an issue from the Bord it does show up, i cannot find any difference between the created items.

is this a known issue? What am i missing?

Hi @D S  - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

On the board, click on the 3 dots menu on the upper right side. Then choose Board Settings.

In the General tab, check the board filter to see what it is including.

Also check the sub-filter at the bottom of the page to see if it is further filtering out issues.

@John Funk

I think no filters are selected...

When you place/create an issue on the Roadmap, it might not be really getting created. Otherwise, since this is a Team-managed project and you have no control over filters for the board, it should show everything created on the project.

After you create it on the Roadmap, can you go into a separate window and use the advanced query and see the issue there?

@John Funk

Hi, it shows everywere on the project only not on the bord.

I have found the problem, when i create an issue from the roadmap screen, it will go to the backlog. I had to move the items from backlog to Bord.

When i create an issue from the bord screen it directly goes to Bord and shows in the bords.

I am new to the this software, what is the typical use of this?
