How do i get all epics under initiative issue type?

Those new to the Atlassian Community have posted less than three times. Give them a warm welcome!

For some reason the following filter:

issuekey in ChildIssuesOf("initiative issuekey") AND issuetype = Epic 

is not giving me all the Epics under the initiative. Each epic being a different project under an Initiative ticket.
