How do i add group for watcher

We use jira cloud version. 

We want to add group for watcher. 

What should we do?

Nope, you can not.

You need to add as an individual user only.

To anyone coming to this late and using Jira Cloud, consider using an automation!

You can trigger it from the ticket and add a specific list of people.

there are few post function provided by 3rd party plugins which can help to add users from project role or group or group picker field.

1. Add or remove watchers by JWT Adds or removes issue watchers based on custom fields or project roles.

• If you have installed it you may need to create a group picker field select a group while creating the issue and configure above post function to populate watchers field with the members of the group
• If you have script runner plug-in installed you could write script to update watchers field

2. If none of them are installed you could do it outside JIRA using REST api

Go to Permission Scheme of that project and edit the Manage Watchers Edit Add the group
