How do i add dots to the user stories which shows how long the card has been in the column for?

I was wondering how I can display dots on each ticket which reflects how long the card has been in that column?

Board > Configure > Columns > Days in Column (check)

I seem to recall doing this several years back and believe it was by selecting Time in Status in the card layout. However, I’m not where I can validate this at the moment. I recall it wasn’t very useful for me.
