How do create a custom Epic view with a different field layout?

I'm trying to create a custom Epic view with a different field layout than the other issue types. 

What are the steps I need to take to do this?

Create the new screen with the fields you want to see on that screen. 

Then add the screen to the Screen Scheme on the project. 

Then update your Issue Type Screen Scheme on that project to add the Epic as an Issue Type and tie it to the new screen.
