How do Tempo and Jira's Work Log correlates?

Hello,

We have worklog enteries in Jira's work log.

We wan't to install and use Tempo. 2 questions:

1. Will Tempo timesheet display work that was logged in Jira previously?

2. Do we have to turn off Jira's work log? Should it remain enabled?

1. Tempo timesheets will display JIRA work logs entered previuosly

2. YOu shoudl turn off JIRA work log function so as to make use of rules configured in Tempo like not allowing more than 24 hours of work log in a day etc.

Thanks for the answer.

Turning off work log function in Jira will create a problem: we have a "Resolved issue" screen in which the developer updates how he handled the issue. Among other things, he's updating his working time on the issue.

I can't find fields of Tempo which can replace Jira's fields and can be part of issue resolution screen.

Am I wrong?

You are correct. But you might want to disable the Log Work link the the issue actions and operations section.
