How do I transfer/migrate issues from a sub-project to the main project

Hi

A project manager created a sub-project under a project and has a bunch of issues in the sub-project. This was a mistake . How do we migrate all the issues in the sub-project to the actual project itself, as when I try and do an export, it defaults to the main project itself. Attached is a snapshot of the project and sub-project...image001.png

Thanks in advance.

Hi @Angus Smith

Bulk Move Issues

  1. Go to the "Issues" section in the top navigation.
  2. Run a JQL search for the issues you want to transfer. For example, if you want all issues from a sub-project:
    project = SUB_PROJECT_KEY
  3. Click on the three dots (More options) button and select Bulk Change.
  4. Select the issues you want to move and click Next.
  5. In the bulk operations screen, choose Move Issues.
  6. Select the Main Project as the new destination project.
  7. Review the issue types, statuses, and fields for any mapping changes between the sub-project and the main project.
  8. Confirm the bulk move.

I have just learnt that the PM created the issues on a board. I am sorry to have wasted your time. Thank you very much for your guidance.

Hi @Angus Smith

There are no parent/child projects in Jira.

What is the issue type for 'SmartMine Dev & Support'?

Hi Dave

I am trying to figure out how the PM managed to create this string below??? I can't find any more details for "Smartmine Dev & Support." There is no, or rather I don't know how to search for this part.

It seems the project manager created a board and put those issues on the board. Hence why so confusing.  (I am also a newbie admin so I didn't pick it up). Thank you for your kind assistance.
