How do I track feature made of tasks but I do not want the tasks to be moved through workflow

I would like to be able to create a feature that consists of many tasks (sub-tasks) but I want to progress the feature only in the agile board while having the visibility into what the tasks are, what the progress is of the tasks and what tasks are still outstanding. Adding sub-tasks allows me to progress them through the agile board workflow individually and can be disconnected from the feature jira which doesn't allow to manage the whole feature.
