How do I stop backlog page hijacking CMD+F ?
Issue
When in Jira "Backlog" view, Jira [hijacks/claims] the CMD+F keyboard shortcut.
Environment
* Google Chrome
* Mac OS
Steps taken
* Disabled keyboard shortcuts in Jira -- Click ? > Keyboard Shortcuts > Disable
* logout and login again
Investigation
Interestingly, when I do manage to get browser search working, content I *know* is on the page doesn't appear.
My hypothesis is that this issue is the reason *why* Jira hijacks the CMD+F, because the task "title" within the Board and Backlog divs aren't searchable from outside the page.
You can search on the task ID from outside the page though.
Which is frankly weird IMO
Solution
Don't do that!
Also, add the CMD+F keyboard shortcut to the shortcuts dialog so they can be disabled if desired (and design your page so the content is searchable)!
Workaround
I have to manually go to the Chrome Edit menu > Find > Find...
