How do I setup issues across multiple sprints?

I am trying to assign an issue over multiple sprints, how do I do this?

Hi Trudy.

I was just going to extend across multiple sprints for bigger tasks, but will just further break them down.

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

That is not possible.

An issue can be assigned to only one Active or Future sprint at a time.

What problem are you trying to solve by assigning an issue to multiple sprints at the same time?
