How do I remove admin from being added as a watcher when I close a ticket?

I have noticed that once I close out a ticket that Jira automatically adds the admin as a watcher on the ticket. Is there a way to disable this function?

That isn't default behavior. It sounds like you have a post function adding the admin as a watcher.

Hi Dan,

this is not a regular Jira behaviour. It must be something added as a postfunction to your closing workflow transition I think.

I would ask your admin why this is happening.
