How do I rebuild my JIRA and Confluence Index from scratch?

I am using an older version of JIRA, 6.3.8, and Confluence, 5.8.10. I recall having to rebuild my indexes from scratch in certain situations but I forgot to document the process and the current knowledge base is unable to help me. Please let me know if anyone remembers how to do this. I am running JIRA and Confluence on two separate servers of Windows as services.

In both applications, go to Admin -> indexing.  You'll find the options there - a "complete" rebuild will do everything in full
