Hi there,
I need help to transfer issues ( tasks, subtasks, and Bugs) that are allocated to a Sprint to move to the next sprint.
But when I try to complete the sprint, I do get a pop-up to transfer the open issues but the numbers don't match. I have approx 440 issues in done status, but when I try to complete sprint it shows only 224 issues were done.
Also I have two finish statuses ( "Will not fix" and "Done")
Would like to move all the issues which are not in "Done" and "Will not fix" into the next sprint.
Please advise how to do the above two?
I am using company-managed projects.

Keshav - Product Manager
Hi @KeshavRN
Welcome to the community 🙂
It seems like your projects issues doesn't have the resolution properly set
The issues which are in To Do and In Progress category are open issues and should not have the resolution set
And the Done Category issues should have resolution set
Search for the resolved issues and see if if matches the board's issues in finished status issues
If not you have to work on properly setting the resolution values and then you can move the open issues to next sprint
Also when moving the issues, the board will lookup the last column only, so it's better to have one column for the finished status
Let me know if you have any queries
Thanks,
Pramodh
Hi Pramod,
Thank you for the reply,
I have the resolution set in the post function for my issue workflow
screenshot for ref
And I manually tried to transition from Done -> done in bulk change.
But this post function is not getting activated and the resolution filed is still empty.

Hi @KeshavRN ,
Can you associate both statuses ("Won't fix" and "Done") to the column that is furthest to the right? This way Jira will consider them 'Done'. If you still want to separate the issues, you can create two swimlanes where each swimlane is associated to one of these statuses.
To move all the issues which are not in "Done" and "Won't fix" into the next sprint you could also run a JQL query and do a bulk change where you 'edit' all the issues in the query result to update the 'sprint' field... But this may override the sprint where the work was scheduled originally.

Hi Carlos,
Thank you for the suggestion and yes this works too. But din't want my project manager to go through this manually every time we change sprint.
But since our resolution is not working, this seems to be the only way :)

It is the only way, and you don't need to do anything manually. A single change to map the "Won't fix" into the "Done" column will fix it all permanently.

@Nic Brough -Adaptavist-
Thank you for the suggestion. Will recommend this to my team.
Yup it would be a easy fix if agreeable by the team.
Also could you please let me know even after adding the post function for updating the resolution field, the resolution field doesn't get updated?
Any suggestions for this

It's not a case of "recommedation" or "agreeable" here.
Your team needs to either start doing Scrum, or establish how they can use a Scrum tool to not do Scrum.

I am stuck on this one, the post function should do it. What error messages or automation failures are you getting?
