Jira Service Desk Email connectivity logs indicate that every other connection attempt to the mail server are failing due to timeout. So what I see in the logs is SUCCESS, FAILURE, SUCCESS, FAILURE, etc. The error message states the following
Couldn't connect to host, port: webmail.[domain name here].com, 993; timeout 50000; Using SOCKS host, port.edge-outboundproxy01-prd-uswest2.net.atlassian.com, 1080
What makes this issue especially troubling is that it seems to occur when there is a new message received from a monitoring platform. The monitoing alerts stopped being picked up on 5/26/2020. These alerts were picked up without issue and created Jira Service Desk Cloud tickets without issue up until this point.
