How do I populate a custom field with the sum of multiple numeric custom field values? in jira 7.6.1

i have 8 custom fields like efforts 1 to 8 .the sum sum all efforts is automatically populated to "Total effort"

You're going to need to do two things:

• Think about where you want the result to be held and shown
• Install an app that can implement the logic you need to add up the fields and create the place you're going to keep the result
