How do I modify an existing custom field in Next gen Projects?

Hi all,

I've created a client list as a custom dropdown in an issue type for one of our projects.

This is a nextgen project. I have to now add another name into the custom field, however Jira has disabled that option saying other issue types uses the custom field. I'm not worried about it impacting other issue types as the update is needed for them as well.

Hi Guys, I've figured it out, the dropdown had reached the maximum limit of options. That is why I was unable to edit it. 

Replacing one of the options allowed me to fix it .
