How do I group my tickets by version in my kanban?

Laetitia Coja June 20, 2023

Hello community,

I have a Kanban project. I've created versions but I can't figure out how to display the versions in my table.
Currently I can only group by "responsible", "subtask" or "epic".

Can I group my table by version and if so, how?

Thanks in advance

Hi @Laetitia Coja,

From your description, it seems as if you're using a team-managed project (you can check near the bottom-left corner of your screen when you're looking at your kanban board).

If so, grouping by release is - unfortunately - not possible. At best, you can add custom filters to your board that will allow you to filter issues by release. It's not grouping, but at least it allows you to zoom in on a single release.

To do so, navigate to Project settings > Board > Custom Filters. You can create your own filters by release as you can see in this example:

Hope this helps!

Thank you for your feedback.

That's the conclusion I came to :(

@Walter Buggenhout
Would you know if it's possible to change the project type without having to create a new project and migrate the tickets ?

Hi Laetitia - what do you mean by table?

Laetitia Coja June 20, 2023

My kanban ;) (sorry i'm french)

I think Walter Buggenhout's answer confirms that what I want to do is not possible with my current project.
After testing on my own, I came to the same conclusion.

Yes, I understand now. I think you would be better off to use a Company-managed project in that case.  :-)

So, you cannot change the project type. You would have to create a new project and migrate the issues from the Team-managed project to the Company-managed project.

Here is some more information on that:
