Hello,
I am currently trying to clean a long used Jira Cloud environnement and would like to delete unuseful issue type (for ex an issue type named 'service request' on our env.).
I am following the process :
. > Jira Admin > Issue > Issue Types > Actions > Delete (of the 'service request' issue type)
. The following warning appears :
"Delete Issue Type: Requête de service
Note: This issue type cannot be deleted - there are currently 5 matching issues with no suitable alternative issue types (only issues you have permission to see will be displayed, which may be different from the total count shown on this page).
In order for an issue type to be deleted, it needs to be associated with one workflow, field configuration and field screen scheme across all projects. If this is not the case, Jira can not provide a list of valid replacement issue types.
"
When I am trying to access to the 5 issues, the list is empty.
I tried to grant my user with all the possible permissions scheme possible with no succes.
Would you have any idea to help me ?
You can't do this directly.
You will need to go through each permission scheme, adding the admin to "browse issue" permission. Once you've done that, try the filter for the 5 issues again. If you still have non-visible issues, then you will need to go through all the "issue security schemes" as well.
